Usability testing

There are four ways of doing usability testing with crowd testers

  1. Survey Questioner
Here we create 10-20 survey questions to check how users are using a particular flow/feature.

  2. Task-based testing with screen recording (+ Survey questions if needed) Expert testers will go through the task and record the screen (without the voice clip).
EG: Find your medical report for Dec 2016 and download it.
How easily could you do it? Rate it out of five.
Can you download & open it on your mobile device?
How do you rate the understandability of the report?

  3. Think Allowed video
Usability experts will use the app (Or perform the task) and record the screen along with their voice clip.

  4. Exploratory usability testing
Random testers will use the entire app as a real user, file any kind of usability issue if they come across in their devices.
The better strategy for any client is to have a combination of first three from the above mentioned and an exploratory testing separately.
EG: 10 Think allowed videos for specific workflows (tasks)
15 tasks based testing with screen records
    7 Survey questions
